The Circuit Riders of Cody, Wyoming...

Circuit Riders offer a variety of educational programs that bring the West to life for young people. These programs are designed to run for 45 minutes, but are somewhat adjustable.

• Sarah: The Circuit Riders will have you and your students laughing, singing, and shedding a few tears along with Sharon Bothwell as she becomes "Sarah." This pioneer woman tells of her journey on the wagon train. The joys and dangers come to life in this character, a composite of writings of pioneer women in their journals. (Target group: 4th-6th grades, esp. State or American History, or music classes)


• Come and Get It!: For smaller groups (not more than 30). Circuit Riders gather 'round the campfire, eat beans and biscuits, sing cowboy songs, and tell tall tales of a cowboy's day herding cattle on the trail. (Target group: 2nd-6th grades)


• Singing Cowboys: Explore songs of the cowboys from the cattle drive through the Silver Screen era to the new Cowboy songs of today. Includes video of the cowboy heroes of the movies. (Target group: 4th-6th grades)


• Cowboy Up!: A fun program for the younger students. Children will learn to ride night guard on the trail, sing an old cowboy song, even write a verse themselves! Bandit R. Coon may even show up and join the fun! (Target group: K-3rd grades)
  

Sharon and Kate have researched the educational standards and benchmarks established in a number of states and have designed the educational  programs offered  to help  teachers meet those requirements.
