Bandit's Home-Page for Kids
(and kids-at-heart)
The other day
my friend Chalkdust Kate told me I have a web page on the
computer. So I went over to the computer and looked at it.
There was no paper on it. There was no spider, either, so no
spider web.
So Kate said, “No. A web page goes on the Internet.”
So I started looking for that, but we don’t even have a fish
tank. No net, either. Not an inter or outer net. I
was confused.
Kate said I have to log on the computer. But for some reason she
got mad at me and make me take it off. It was only a little
log. It didn’t even have any branches on it. It got some
loose bark down in the keys, though. She said I have to turn on
the computer and let it boot up.
…Okay, so there were no boots. So I went and got a pair of Kate’s
boots. The green ones. “No!” Kate yelled. “That’s not
what I mean! You have to turn on the computer and wait for the
programs to start.”
I waited and waited, but no programs started. I was hoping to
watch a rerun of Gilligan’s Island.
“Not that kind of program!” Kate said.
Well, I guess I have a lot to learn about a web page.
