Remember the
good ol' days
when
the cowboy hero grabbed his guitar, shook hands with his girl, kissed
his horse, and rode off into the sunset to the strains of three part
harmony and a full orchestra? Well, those silver screen cowboys gave us
some wonderful Western music, but the tradition was rooted in the
actual practice of the cowboys of the Old West singing to the cattle
(without the full orchestra).
Western music isn't about broken
hearts and empty bottles. It's about
wide open spaces, cattle resting on the bed ground, and cowboys singing
a tune.
If you remember Roy Rogers and the
Sons of the Pioneers, you'll have a
good idea of the kind of music presented by the Circuit Riders. Their
Western shows are always full of great old Western songs and lots of
good clean humor and fun.
